Google Drive Integration

Setup Requirements

Before verifying Drive files through Gemini:

1. Enable Gemini Activity — Go to myactivity.google.com and enable Gemini Apps Activity
2. Workspace permissions — Your organization's admin must have enabled Gemini features
3. File access — You must have at least view permissions on the Drive file

Verify a Drive File

1. Open the Gemini App (gemini.google.com or mobile app)
2. Click/tap Add files
3. Select Google Drive as the source
4. Browse your Drive folders or search for the file
5. Select the image, video, or audio file
6. Ask: Check this file for SynthID watermarks
7. Review the verification result

Supported Drive File Types

Only image, video, and audio files can be verified with SynthID. Documents (Docs, Sheets, Slides, PDFs) are not supported for SynthID verification.

Gmail Attachment Verification

Gmail attachments cannot be directly accessed by Gemini for SynthID verification. Use this workaround:

Steps for Gmail Attachments

1. Open the email in Gmail
2. Find the attachment (image, video, or audio)
3. Option A: Click the download icon to save to your device
4. Option B: Click Save to Drive to save to your Google Drive
5. Open the Gemini App
6. Upload the file from your device (Option A) or from Drive (Option B)
7. Ask the verification question
8. Review the result

Workspace Data Protection

Protection	Description
No model training	Workspace conversation data is NOT used to train Google AI models
Data processing	Subject to enterprise-grade data processing agreements
Admin controls	Workspace admins can enable/disable Gemini features per user or group
Audit logs	Verification activity can be tracked in Workspace admin audit logs
Extensions	Third-party extension access can be restricted by admin policy
