SOP: Manage Verification History and Activity Fresh

Purpose

Manage your SynthID verification history within the Gemini App, including viewing conversations, deleting activity, and configuring auto-delete settings.

Prerequisites Checklist

• [ ] Signed in to the Gemini App
• [ ] Previous verification conversations exist

Procedure

Step 1: View Verification History

On Computer:

1. Go to gemini.google.com
2. Look at the left sidebar — it shows recent conversations
3. Click any conversation to view its contents, including verification results

On Mobile:

1. Open the Gemini app
2. Tap the menu icon (hamburger/three lines)
3. Browse your recent conversations

Step 2: Delete Individual Conversations

1. In the sidebar, find the conversation you want to delete
2. Hover over it (on computer) or long-press (on mobile)
3. Click the three-dot menu icon
4. Select Delete
5. Confirm the deletion

WARNING

Deleted conversations cannot be recovered. Make sure you have saved any important verification results before deleting.

Step 3: Delete All Gemini Activity

To delete all your Gemini conversations and verification history:

1. Go to myactivity.google.com
2. In the search/filter area, select Gemini Apps
3. Click Delete activity
4. Choose your deletion scope:
   • Last hour — delete only the last hour of activity
   • Last day — delete the last 24 hours
   • All time — delete all Gemini activity
   • Custom range — select specific dates
5. Confirm the deletion

Step 4: Configure Auto-Delete Settings

Set up automatic deletion of old activity:

1. Go to myactivity.google.com
2. Navigate to Activity controls
3. Find the Gemini Apps Activity section
4. Click Auto-delete
5. Choose your preferred auto-delete period:

Period	Description
3 months	Activity older than 3 months is automatically deleted
18 months	Activity older than 18 months is automatically deleted
36 months	Activity older than 36 months is automatically deleted

6. Click Confirm to save your setting

Step 5: Pause Activity Saving (Optional)

If you want to stop Gemini from saving any activity:

1. Go to myactivity.google.com
2. Navigate to Activity controls
3. Find Gemini Apps Activity
4. Toggle it OFF
5. Confirm when prompted

Important

Pausing activity will disable Google Drive access in Gemini. You will only be able to upload files from your device, not from Drive.
